I'm sorry about my recent absence from the boards. I've been very caught up in classes for work and also a full class load of college classes. Life, needless to say, has been very busy.
So anyhow, the quick thought. I had a session with my psychologist the other day, and as we tend to do, Caden came up. As we discussed Caden, she came to a conclusion. The conclusion was that I still felt some guilt and shame about Caden, despite not really feeling like I did. She has been very supportive and encouraging, and when I first showed her a picture of me dressed up as Caden, she did not recognize me, and the first word out of her mouth was, "shes beautiful...who is she?" So anyhow, back to this most recent session. She told me that because of the guilt an shame, that I need to look at Caden in a new paradigm. I needed to stop thinking of Caden as a secret. That word comes with stigma and baggage. She advised me to start thinking of Caden as a private matter. From the moment I started thinking of myself in that regard, I felt better about it. It was as though a weight was lifted slightly. I realized that there are so many of us that still feel guilt and shame, and that perhaps this thought process might help someone.
Anyhow, everyone have a great day!

Never felt guilt, just disappointment that my reality won't let me be Sara 24/7. Was inspired by reading about your trip to the movies.

Glad to hear you were inspired Sara. A lot of my trips out are simple yet enjoyable. Most times they are something I could have done en drab. But where's the fun in that I ask ?!? Lol.
Unfortunately there are so many of us that feel guilt over who we are. There are just as many if not more who feel fear of being found out. If we as an organization can constructively minimize those two factors for our members, then there is no telling the personal growth that we can all enjoy.
